Jody's versatility and flexibility as a singer and an actress have led her to perform in a wide range of genres, from musical theater to oratorio. Her vibrant and refined soprano has been reviewed with enthusiasm throughout the New York region.
Jody has appeared as a soloist in many choral works by composers Bach, Rutter, Brahms, Fauré, Haydn, Handel, Beethoven, Vaughan Williams, and Vivaldi. She has appeared as the soprano soloist in the Messiah many times, including at the West Point Cadet Chapel, and in its entirety with the Cathedral Choir and the American Chamber Orchestra. She has also appeared with Classic Choral Society, the Northern Dutchess Symphony, Newburgh Symphony, New York Wind Symphony, Delaware Valley Opera,
Allegro Orchestra, Pro Arte Chorale, and Tuxedo Performing Arts Group, among others in concert and in recital.
Jody’s musical theatre credits include the first national tour of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods directed by James Lapine, in which she performed both Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood, followed by a European tour as Christine in Ken Hill’s operatic adaptation of Phantom of the Opera.
"Working with Jody in the performance of my new music along with Samuel Barber's, I found her to be among the most professional and pleasurable to work with singers I've ever known. Her versatility - to be able to sing one moment in a classical sound with great diction, pitch and warmth and in the next, to convert to an instrumental approach blending with the ensemble - I found to be extraordinary."
